CHANGING PERSPECTIVES

In September 2013 Visual Artist Cathalijn Wouters and theater maker Inez Almeida presented this performance at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival. In the gallery Canvas International Art they will seek six times on the basis of the themes desire and impermanence the boundaries between visual and performing arts. With the public they explore the relationships and the dividing lines between maker, model , performer , viewer fade away a playful way. For who is who and does the one exist without the other one?

The public starts entering a visual art exposition in a gallery that slowly transforms in a black box theatre space: doors closed, lights go out and the paintings become live performance, audience becomes the liquid painted drawings that are erase immediately after they come to existence in a stream of impermanent images.
